Noé Denova, Principal
Noé A. Denova is a native Houstonian and proud product of Houston ISD who is currently serving as the proud principal of Rucker ES. Mr. Denova has been in education for over 9 years graduating from the University of Houston-Downtown with a bachelor’s degree in bilingual education. Noé later went on to receive his master’s degree in education administration from Texas A&M. Mr. Denova has served in multiple capacities including classroom teacher & mentor, district office Multilingual support staff for campuses (ES – HS), and campus leadership. Mr. Denova is extremely excited to kick off this academic school year and looks forward to collaborating with the Rucker ES community to ensure student learning occurs each and every day. To an extraordinary school year!
Jessica Lopez-Alanis
Assistant Principal

Jessica Lopez-Alanis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Houston in 2003 and received a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education. Mrs. Alanis continued her studies receiving a Master’s in Educational Administration in 2015 and has been in education for 19 years. Mrs. Alanis has served as a teacher for grades kindergarten through fourth grade in both general and special education, intervention, master mentor, GT coordinator and behavior intervention. Mrs. Alanis is looking forward to supporting a successful year of learning and is excited to serve the Rucker Elementary community as their assistant principal.
Elisa Dawson
Assistant Principal

Elisa Dawson is the Assistant Principal at Rucker Elementary, bringing 24 years of passion and experience to education. A graduate of UH-Downtown and UH-Clear Lake, she has served as a bilingual teacher, teacher specialist, and now school leader.
Aida Manning
Counselor

Hello! My name is Aida Manning, and I am thrilled to serve as the school counselor at Rucker Elementary. Originally from Puerto Rico, I bring a rich cultural background and a deep passion for education and student well-being. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
I am dedicated to supporting our students in all areas of their development—academic, social, and emotional. I believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. I look forward to working with our amazing students, families, and staff to help make this school year a successful and joyful one!
